QUANTUM
CONSCIOUSNESS
IN THE 20TH CENTURY, THESE SAME IDEAS HAVE MIGRATED TO THE SECULAR IMAGINATION, ESPECIALLY TO THE ARTS AND QUANTUM PHYSICS.
We hear them echoed in John Lennon’s lyrics for Across The Universe — “Images of broken light which dance before me like a million eyes. They call me on and on across the universe” — or in David Lynch’s talks on Transcendental Meditation (TM), where he describes a unified field of pure consciousness, what he calls “a limitless ocean that encompasses all creation.”
It is likewise the subject of Albert Einstein’s famous quote:
